PostSubject: GameMaster Rules   Sat Sep 06, 2008 4:19 am

These are the current GameMaster rules, but be sure to check back every once in a while as they will be updated and changed to meet the needs of the server.

1. Permissions and Powers

* Once you are recruited as a GameMaster you are given “Trial GameMaster” status, which means that you have limited commands and permissions which can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on how well you do and your behavior. If you do not gain full GameMaster status after 4 weeks your “Trial GameMaster” status will be removed and your account will be converted back into a normal player account and you will have to apply again to get another chance to be a GameMaster.

* When you start as a “Trial GameMaster” you will be watched from time to time by other staff members to see how you are coming along and if you are following the rules as well as to check your progress.

* c. As a “Trial GameMaster” you will have access only on the Live realm, (Developer Realm gets available after Trial has ended) and if you do not follow the rules you will be instantly removed.

2. The live server and you

* Whenever you are on the live server keep in mind that you are hired to help people, not yourself and your constant ambitions to be overpowered.

* You do not get .additem and .learn on the live server as a Trial GameMaster, If you need any items or need to learn something, then please contact anyone in staff with AZ Powers.

* You are not allowed to help other players in any way when it comes to leveling, porting, giving away items etc.

* Please be friendly to all players you may encounter, and if players are begging you for items and such you can warn them that it isn’t allowed, but try saying it in a nice way – and if that does not work you may kick them from the server, but you must put “Begging is not allowed” as the reason for the kick.

* If you are online and you encounter a hacker or exploiter, you may also kick them, but with speed hackers it is often best to .paralyze them and telling them that speed hacking is not allowed on the server and after three warning they will be banned before you kick them.

3. Projects and Ideas (Gets available after Trial ended)

* If you have a new project in mind that you would like to add to the server post it under the “Quick approval” section located under the “Staff” section.

* Wait until it is approved by an admin.

* Once it is approved make a new topic under “Server Development” located under the “Development” section of the forums with the name of your project as the title, and also try to include as much information as you can about exactly what you plan on doing as to avoid doing something that wasn’t allowed and having to go back to fix it.

* Update your post as often as you can, the purpose of the post is to both keep staff updated on what you are doing and what progress you are making as well as to keep you, and the developers, on track when building your project.

* GameMaster's have very limited area of developing, You are not allowed to create any items at all (If not specifially approved by Booyah) , No instances, No mobs, But you can come up with additional "Fun Events" that dont give any special awards, like Jump Coarses, Maze's etc.

4. Activity and Termination

* If you know you will be inactive for a few days please make a post on the forums so that we know not to terminate your account after a five-day inactive period.

* We are a team, please be considerate to all staff and players on the server, failure to do so may result in termination.

These rules have been reviewed and accepted by the staff and failure to adhere to these rules will result in a ban.
Also note that although you are a gamemaster you are still a player and you still have your rules to follow, and furthermore, you are at the will of the staff meaning you can lose your rank with or without warning as deemed necessary by the Forgotten-WoW Staff!
